EVENT

March 10-12, 2026 Visit to the University of Wollongong, Australia

Dates March 10-12, 2026
Place University of Wollongong, Australia

We visited the University of Wollongong, our partner institution in this Joint Degree Program. For the first time, we held a joint seminar in person, which had previously been conducted exclusively online. During the seminar, students gave presentations and received valuable feedback and guidance from professors on both sides.

In addition, we were able to organize student exchange activities, individual meetings, and various discussions, making this visit highly meaningful. We also met with master’s course students who were staying there under our university’s research internship program, allowing us to hear about their current progress.

EVENT

November 13, 2025 Information session for the program was held

Date/time November 13, 2025/17:00-18:00
Venue 304B, Building 2

This was the forth time that an information session for our program (Joint Degree Doctoral Program in Informatics) was held.

At the session, we provided detailed explanations about the Joint Degree Program, our partner institution—the University of Wollongong in Australia—as well as matters related to staying in Australia.

EVENT

August 20, 2025 International Exchange Seminar was held

Date/time August 20, 2025/13:30-14:30
Venue NITech Hall 2F (Learning Commons)

We held an international exchange seminar and were honored to welcome Senior Lecturer Weihua Li from Auckland University of Technology for this lecture.

Abstract: Social computing examines how individuals interact, share information, and influence each other in online environments. Integrating Artificial Intelligence into this domain opens up powerful new capabilities to model, understand, and shape these interactions at scale. This seminar presents a series of representative AI-driven works across three core areas: modelling and simulating influence diffusion in large-scale, dynamic networks; promoting fairness and mitigating ideological isolation through diversity-aware recommendation algorithms; and detecting threats in social networks. Together, these efforts aim to advance intelligent systems that promote healthier, more inclusive, and trustworthy digital ecosystems.
